Story #1: A Whale of a Tale

Poem #1:
The Blue in Me

I see the blueness of
serene waves
lapping rhythmically

then blue flows north
to form towering
glaciers gently melting
over centuries.

The subtle blue pattern
on a butterfly's wing
and the heated core
of a gas stove flame
remind me

of blue's serene
coolness
gently burning
a subtle heat
inside of me.
